Illustrated keys - some mosquitoes of Peninsula Malaysia, authored by Jeffery et al., is an excellent book and useful for identification of the mosquitoes. This book will be a useful guide to facilitate understanding and assist in accurate identification of common adult mosquitoes such as Anopheles, Culex, Mansonia, Aedes etc., Mr. Jeffery is an experienced mosquito taxonomist working in the Department of Parasitology, Faculty of Medicine, Kuala Lumpur and has vast experience in identification of mosquitoes of various species. This book is a compilation of keys which has been meticulously illustrated and will be extremely useful to provide identification keys for mosquitoes of medical importance. I strongly recommend this book for the related workers in this field such as mosquito taxonomists, naturalists, entomologists and other professionals interested in identifying mosquitoes. This is a most reliable and dependable handbook that can be used by all of them. I congratulate all the authors especially Mr. Jeffery, the principal author and expert in entomology for publishing this book.
